URGENT: With the recent cases of COVID-19 at the Buffalo Federal detention center, there is an urgent need for funds. Donations will go towards commissary for the people at Batavia and food and housing for the people who have been or are going to be released. 

JFMF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that promotes justice for migrant families by providing support to individuals in the federal detention facility in Batavia, information and resources to families in the community, and advocacy both within and beyond the local community.

Because of its proximity to the Canadian border, the greater Buffalo area is subject to the same heightened security—and lack of legal protections—characteristic of many states on the southern border. JFMF is committed to helping those victimized by unjust laws as well as to changing those laws whenever possible. Our most recent success is the Green Light legislation that provides undocumented members of our community access to drivers’ licenses.
